Great Food & Good Times at Lancaster City Restaurant Week 2020

Lancaster City Restaurant Week is almost here! Take a look at what's new this season.

Nothing brings people together like food! Next week from March 2nd – 8th, Lancaster City’s finest brunch spots, coffee shops, and mouthwatering eateries are joining together to celebrate good food at great deals during Lancaster City Restaurant Week.

Restaurant Week, or LCRW, is held twice a year and always features an ever-growing collection of highly-rated restaurants with delectable menus at affordable prices. This year, there’s a wide variety of deals ranging from $10-50. You can rediscover old favorites like Souvlaki Boys, Amorette, and Sprout Rice & Noodles or explore fresh new spots including, Scratch Bakes and C’est La Vie, all week long!

“From morning brunch to date night, there are options for everyone,” says Chris Trendler, founder of LCRW and one of the owners of Decades Lancaster. “During the last Lancaster City Restaurant Week with Decades being open, I had a difficult time going around to try everything, but if I can get away, I’ll definitely want to stop by C’est La Vie or Josephine’s and check out their menus.”

At the Press Party for #LCRW2020, we had a chance to get a taste of what’s in store for Restaurant Week and to chat with more of the participating restaurants for the inside scoop on their favorite deals for this upcoming week. Here’s what they said:

Cork & Cap

“This season for Lancaster City Restaurant Week, we are going for the comforting classics. Our deal features Wing & Burger combos where you can mix and match your wing flavors with your choice of burger and then top it off with dessert. You can’t go wrong with the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings paired with our Cork Burger.”

Commonwealth on Queen

“Our Belgian Waffles are a crowd pleaser for sure, but what’s new this time are our vegan options! We’ve worked really hard to bring more options for our vegan foodies. Popular items like our Green Goddess Grilled Cheese can now be ‘veganized’ with vegan cheese and mayo.”

Plough

“It’s our first official year open, so participating in LCRW is a great opportunity for us to get to know the community a little better and introduce them to our menu. We’re really excited by all of our deals, but we really recommend checking out the Mac N Cheese or Grilled Cheese deal for lunch. Now dinner, you can’t skip the Short Ribs.”

Chellas Arepa Kitchen

“It’s a big year for us! We were recently listed in Yelp’s list of 100 Top U.S. Places to Eat in 2020, and now we’re excited to be participating in Lancaster City Restaurant Week and introduce more people to South American food. For lunch, we have to recommend our Pernil Arepa. It features slow-roasted honey bbq pulled pork, and it’s very popular. Our yuca fries, too, are a must-try.”

By taking advantage of all the great deals available during Restaurant Week, you’re not just treating yourself—you’re also supporting a great cause! This year, LCRW’s Social Mission Partner is Power Packs Project! This organization is providing parents who struggle with food insecurity the ability to provide their students with nutritious meals over weekends when school breakfast and lunch programs are unavailable to them. LCRW is proud to help share their mission this season and be a part of the movement to help make delicious, nutritious food easily accessible to everyone in our community.

Through the extraordinary generosity of LCRW’s sponsor, Tito’s Vodka is donating $1.00 for every Tito’s Vodka drink sold at participating restaurants up to $2,500! The local restaurants and cafes in the City of Lancaster hope that you will support the mission of Power Packs Project during Lancaster City Restaurant Week. Because Hungry Kids Can’t Learn! Grab a drink or donate today through their website, PowerPacksProject.com.

Now get out there, Lancaster! These exclusive deals are only available from March 2-8, so eat up and have fun exploring! For the latest list of participating restaurants, menus, and deals, visit LancasterCityRestaurantWeek.com.
